A Foundation with a Mission

We are AMAKU

The activities of the non-profit AMAKU Foundation are of a social nature, for the common good, promoting and encouraging the safeguarding, preservation and development of Ecuadorian/Latin-American culture and heritage. Favouring knowledge, both tangible and intangible heritage and the ancestral culture of peoples, nationalities and communities, AMAKU aims to enhance national and community identity, based on the principles of sumac kawsay (the Quechua term sumak kawsay means 'the good life' or 'good living').
